Walk Away by Matt Monro
WALK AWAY
Matt Monro
Walk away, please go
Before you throw your life away
A life that I could share for just a day
We should have met some years ago
For your sake I say
Walk away, just go
Walk away, and live
A life that's full
With no regret
Don't look back at me
Just try to forget
Why build a dream that cannot come true
So be strong, reach the stars now
Walk away, walk on
If I heard your voice
I'd beg you to stay
So don't say a word
Just run, run away
Goodbye my love
My tears will fall
Now that you've gone
I can't help but cry
But I must go on
I'm sad that I have been searchin so long
You, I love you but told you
Walk away, walk on, walk on
A life that I could share for just a day
We should have met some years ago
For your sake I say
Walk away, just go
Walk away, and live
A life that's full
With no regret
Don't look back at me
Just try to forget
Why build a dream that cannot come true
So be strong, reach the stars now
Walk away, walk on
If I heard your voice
I'd beg you to stay
So don't say a word
Just run, run away
Goodbye my love
My tears will fall
Now that you've gone
I can't help but cry
But I must go on
I'm sad that I have been searchin so long
You, I love you but told you
Walk away, walk on, walk on

Softly As I Leave You (1962) by Matt Monro
:format(jpeg):mode_rgb()/discogs-images/R-3290808-1366038048-9462.jpeg.jpg)
Softly As I Leave You
Matt Monro
Writers: Hal Shaper and Antonio DeVita and Giorgio Calabrese
Peak chart position # 27 in 1964
Previously hit # 16 for Matt Monro in 1962
Softly, I will leave you softly
For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go
So I leave you softly, long before you miss me
Long before your arms can beg me stay
For one more hour or one more day
After all the years, I can't bear the tears to fall
So, softly as I leave you there
(Softly, long before you kiss me)
(Long before your arms can beg me stay)
(For one more hour) or one more day
After all the years, I can't bear the tears to fall
So, softly as I leave you there
As I leave I you there
As I leave I you there
How Little We Know (1962) by Matt Monro
:format(jpeg):mode_rgb()/discogs-images/R-3290808-1366038048-9462.jpeg.jpg)
How Little We Know
Maybe it happens this way
Maybe we really belong together
But after all how little we know
Maybe it's just for a day
Love is as changeable as the weather
And after all how little we know
Who knows why an April breeze never remains
Why stars in the trees hide when it rains
Love comes along casting a spell
Will it sing you a song? Will it say a farewell?

Who can tell?
Maybe you're meant to be mine
Maybe I'm only supposed to stay in your arms a while
As others have done
Is this what I've waited for am I the one
Oh, I hope in my heart that it's so
In spite of how little we know
Avril Lavigne (1984 - ) - Ontario, Canada
Avril Ramona Lavigne Whibley, better known simply as Avril Lavigne (born September 27, 1984 in Belleville, Ontario, Canada and raised in nearby Napanee) is a pop singer, songwriter, actress, and model. She is married to Deryck Whibley, the lead singer of Sum 41. Her three albums to date, Let Go (2002), Under My Skin (2004), and The Best Damn Thing (2007) have topped the charts in numerous countries. Avril Lavigne is now considered a global hit artist with album sales of over 36 million world wide and is ranked as the seventh most powerful Canadian in Hollywood.
Although her name is of French origin, she herself does not speak French and her name is pronounced in an anglicized way, more or less as "La-veen". Her first name, Avril, means "April" in French and is pronounced "Av-rill".
Avril became famous thanks to her first hit single Complicated which was later followed by Sk8er Boi, Losing Grip, and I'm With You. In the beginning of her career, Avril's image (especially the t-shirt and tie combo) attracted almost as much interest as her music.
Her second album Under My Skin was a more personal album, with songs such as Don't Tell Me and My Happy Ending. The album sold millions of copies worldwide but Avril was criticized for the drastic change in her image. Avril fervently defended her new, more mature image, saying "Someday you gotta grow up".
Avril sings the title song of the 2006 movie 'Eragon'. The song, Keep Holding On, written by Lavigne and Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald, is the first song on the 'Eragon' soundtrack. The song has been included in her third album, The Best Damn Thing. Dr. Luke also produced Girlfriend, the first single of The Best Damn Thing, which has become her biggest hit in the
United States.
